The next generation Point of Care Diagnostic solutions

New generation POC testing requires simplicity and ultra sensitive quantitative results, which are comparable to most advanced, instrument-based lab tests. Lab tests achieve their high performance utilizing Enzyme Immuno Assay (EIA), a sequential multi reaction process and enzymatic signal amplification. The requirement for a simple walk-away procedure limits the use of EIA in traditional POC testing.
We believe that an EIA is essential in POC testing in order to obtain the desirable performance and that the use of familiar, low cost, membrane-based materials in new and innovative ways is the path forward to achieve low-cost, high-performance POC testing technology.
RealBio’s patented SLF technology utilize membrane liquid flow dynamics principals in a new innovative way to obtain an automatic synchronized sequential flow through a membrane reaction completing a full EIA assay without machine or external power.
Using the SLF device and a dedicated fluorescence reader, the ultra-high sensitivity of SLF is demonstrated on serum samples with different TSH levels.
SLF technology was demonstrated on several diagnostic methodologies including immunoassay, DNA assays, western blot / line test assays.
What type of tests is SLF ideal for?
a) Tests which require fast results (emergency room) yet exhibited lab quality results (quantitative and high sensitivity). Such tests are: Cardiac markers (hs-Troponin I) and Sepsis markers (hs-CRP and hs-Procalcitonine)
b) Tests which requires lab precision such as:
· Hormone testing (hs-TSH, Estradiol etc).
· Infectious disease testing (e.g. saliva HIV home test)
· Companion diagnostics tests for follow patient drug response
c) Multiplex diagnostics: Western blot / Line blot / Dot blot tests
· Autoimmune disease
· Allergens
· Infection disease identification and confirmation tests (HIV, HCV, Lyme, HSV).
The company is currently developing a POC Q-SLF System which includes:
Smart imaging analyzer and a disposable cartridge.
Q-SLF Analyzer: Portable, small size, wireless, simple to operate, barcode identification
Q-SLF test cartridge: Self contain cartridge for single- and multi analyte testing.
