RealBio Technologies was established in 2003 by Dr. Avi Reinhartz and Ms. Sari Alajem. RealBio's mission is to develop new innovative technological solution for Point of Care testing, addressing the need for quantitative, highly sensitive assays, specifically where the use of complex instruments is not practical or affordable.
Our strength lays in our innovation, our broad experience in the development of cutting-edge technologies in both DNA/RNA assays and immuno-diagnostics and, in particular, in simplifying complex diagnostic procedures into low cost, high performance systems and devices.
RealBio’s past developments have been licensed and commercialized by large diagnostics and research corporations, including DiaSorin and Life Technologies Ltd. (now Thermo Fisher Scientific).
Avi Reinhartz, co-Founder, co-CEO
Over 30 years experience in Medical Rapid In-Vitro Diagnostic. Co-Founder of several Diagnostic companies including Gamida Sense Diagnostics Ltd, PhagoLum; and in 2003 RealBio Technologies.
Dr. Reinhartz started his diagnostic activity in Orgenics Ltd, currently part of Alere. He was leading R&D projects for 7 years and for 3 years he served as its R.D director.
Avi has over 30 years experience in the Bio-Medical industry and expertise in entrepreneurship, business and technology development, and has developed several proprietary technologies and successful diagnostic products.
Dr. Reinhartz received his D.Sc. from the Israeli Institute of Technology (Technion), Haifa, and an M.Sc. from the Department of Cell Biology of the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Sari Alajem, co-Founder, co-CEO
Over 25 years of experience in Medical Rapid in-vitro diagnostics, co-founder and Director of RealBio Technology, former co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Gamida-Sense Diagnostic, a privately held R&D company specialized in rapid testing and molecular biology. She was formerly project leader at Orgenics Ltd.
Ms. Alajem has over 25 years experience in Biotechnology and Diagnostic industries and has developed several proprietary technologies and successful diagnostic products in the fields of microbiology, immunology and DNA testing.
Sari holds a M.Sc. from the Department of Microbiology of Tel-Aviv University and B.Sc. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
